About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Control Executive/Supervisor to oversee and optimize food and beverage costs across our restaurant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking expenses, analyzing cost trends, and implementing strategies to enhance profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track and analyze food, beverage, and consumable costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Monitor consumption, ordering, and wastage to optimize cost efficiency.
- Calculate and update menu item costs, ensuring appropriate pricing for profitability.
- Collaborate with chefs to adjust recipe costs and suggest cost-effective ingredient alternatives.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate stock records.
- Implement best practices for stock rotation to minimize waste and spoilage.
- Prepare and distribute cost control reports highlighting key variances and insights.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence to financial targets.
- Implement waste control systems to reduce overproduction, spoilage, and improper portioning.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with cost control procedures.
- Manage cost control and inventory management software for accurate data tracking.
- Work closely with kitchen, bar, and management teams to optimize food and beverage usage.
- Analyze profit margins and recommend strategies to improve overall profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage cost management, inventory control, and menu engineering.
- Proficiency in cost control and inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with chefs, managers, and operations teams.
