Job Description: We are currently seeking a diligent and experienced Food Safety and Hygiene Inspector to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards across our multiple restaurant locations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety practices to protect the health and well-being of our customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of our restaurant facilities to assess compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures to minimize the risk of foodborne illnesses.
  • Evaluate cleanliness and sanitation practices in kitchen areas, dining areas, and restrooms, and provide recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Review and verify restaurant documentation related to food safety, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and employee training records.
  • Investigate complaints or incidents related to food safety and hygiene, and take appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with restaurant managers and staff to provide training and guidance on food safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal food safety regulations and industry trends, and ensure that restaurant operations remain in compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and records, documenting findings and recommendations for corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Certification as a Food Safety Manager or Food Safety Professional preferred.
  • Proven experience working in food safety inspection or regulatory compliance, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills, with the ability to identify potential food safety hazards and compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate food safety requirements and recommendations to restaurant staff.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for travel between restaurant locations.
